We offer a wide variety of herd health services involving both the management and treatment of animals. Our Veterinarians regularly see sick and injured livestock to investigate, diagnose and treat their problems.

At Tamworth Vet Hospital, our experienced Veterinarians are able to sedate our patients which allows us to perform a thorough dental examination and dental file while limiting the stress and anxiety for horse and owner.

Dental treatments performed at least once a year are recommended to prevent painful conditions of the mouth.

Our purpose-built mobile trailer allows us to come to your property providing a controlled and safe working environment.

Cattle reproduction is a special interest area at Tamworth Vet Hospital. We routinely perform ultrasound and manual pregnancy diagnosis in cattle with accreditation with the Australian Cattle Veterinarian Accreditation scheme allowing tail tagging & certification. In addition we offer reproductive programs, artificial insemination and bull breeding soundness examinations including bull fertility testing.

Our team is equipped with portable digital x-ray and ultrasound as well as endoscopes which allow us to perform extensive diagnostic and workups in the field.

Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory that allows our Veterinarians to quickly perform many of these diagnostic tests to achieve an accurate and rapid diagnosis. This is especially important in very ill animals and those requiring immediate or emergency treatment.

We stock or can order in almost all of your livestock product needs from drenches, vaccination, prescription medication and herd health requirements.

Our Veterinarians are able to provide recommendations and administer vaccinations for your livestock as needed.
