Tamworth Veterinary Hospital is a 4 full-time vet equivalent, well-established and family-owned mixed rural practice in the heart of the New England region. We have a supportive and progressive team with a wide range of skill sets and experience.
The practice attracts a truly mixed clientele with a quality small animal base in surgery (routine, soft tissue & orthopaedics), canine reproduction & medicine. In addition, cattle medicine & reproduction, all things equine ambulatory plus exotics, small ruminants & any other species that spring to mind.
Deep community roots, with state-of-the-art equipment, newly renovated premises & an iconic east Tamworth location. Some of the mod-cons include – DR & portable large animal x-ray, ultrasound (small animal, equine & bovine), up to date IDEXX in house laboratory with all the add-ons, brand new secondary surgical theatre fitted with complete monitoring & dentistry equipment, equine porta-stocks & power float plus IM3 small animal dentistry station. Just to name a few!
The role: A mixed or small animal focused full time role with the ability to mix and match reflective of areas of interest. A teamwork and supportive focus will empower the right applicant to grow in a fun, laid back & enriching new age business.
Salary is reflective of experience, negotiable & well above award.
Weekend on-call shifts are shared amongst the nurses in a 1in4/5 rota with shortened workday (Friday) the following weekend.

All memberships including Veterinary Practitioners Board, AVA (including special interest groups) and CVE are paid for by the practice, as well as paid study leave and course enrolments.
Salary is reflective of experience, negotiable & well above award with after-hours additional to this.
Relocation assistance & Sign-On Bonus will be considered for the right applicant. Weekend and evening on-call shifts are shared amongst the vets in a one in three/four rota with rostered days off following this.
